GTTP is a charity funded by the travel and tourism industry which helps young people across the globe access the skills and experience they need for a career in the sector. Each year, GTTP-Global supports more than 800,000 young people across 16 countries.
GTTP-India focuses on:
- Raising awareness of the wide range of careers available.
- Funding and shaping educational programmes so students can build relevant skills.
- Training teachers so they have a deeper knowledge of our industry.
- Through our network of partners, offering hands-on experience.
- Recognising outstanding talent and achievement through competitions and awards.
- Collaborating with agencies involved in the travel and tourism sector.
- Promoting the study of tourism in secondary schools.
- Developing an association between educational institutes and industry.
Now, 15 countries belong to the GTTP family, with the USA an affiliate member. Those countries are Brazil, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Tanzania and the UK.
